Polar Bear Run

Pam and I ran a race last year called the Polar Bear Run.  It's a run that starts in Gimli and continues straight across Lake Winnipeg to Grand Marais.  It's approximately 18 or so miles, with a few ice cracks in between that must be jumped.  I'm contemplating running it again this year, although I distinctly remember saying to myself that I would never ever run it again after last year.  Oh, the ability of the human mind and body to forget (and forgive).

It's a bit of a funny run -- it's not "official" whatsoever.  You just show up and run.  No waivers, no numbers, no water tables (although you might get lucky, like we did, and run into a guy on a snow machine with gatorade).

What say you?  Anybody interested?  Hammy?  Andrea?  Clare?  Zahara?
